What is Cambio?

Cambio is a marketplace that lets you the consumer pick the price that you would like to pay. Have you ever thought to yourself: "I'd eat at that restaurant, but only if it was cheaper?" Now you can! When you post your price you are telling the business, "This is what I would pay for your product." Businesses can then see the price you are willing to pay. If they think the price is fair, Cambio will email you a confirmation e-mail. At that time you purchase the voucher using paypal.

Cambio is also Spanish for exchange or change (as in money). Yes, this is how we picked the company name.

What's a Cambio Voucher?

A Cambio voucher is a lot like a gift card. A $50 Cambio voucher is valid for $50 worth of a business' goods. If you buy a $50 Cambio voucher for only $30, then you just saved $20!

Does this work like an auction site?

Not really. Auction sites have a limited time frame and when that time is up the highest bidder wins. Cambio is an exchange, there is no time limit. Instead, your bid becomes a standing offer anytime the business chooses to accept it. Who knows, maybe the business will sell, maybe they won't -- only the business can decide.

Can I use Cambio for free?

YES! Cambio is completely free to consumers.

How do I know if my price is too high or too low?

Each business will decide if they are going to accept or decline your bid. The "Chances of Winning" next to your bid will show you if your bid has a better chance of winning by comparing it to other bids that have been entered in the Cambio system.

Can I bid a ridiculously low price? For example: $3 for a $25 gift card?

Sure. You can pick any price you want for your bid. Businesses can accept any price they want to sell for. So while it's very unlikely a business will sell to you at a ridiculously low price like $3, there's nothing stopping you.

Does a business have to accept my bid?

No. Each business has control on deciding if they will accept your bid. Cambio does not require businesses to accept any bids.

How many bids will the business accept?

It is up to the business how many offers they have available for bidders. Cambio does not restrict businesses to the number of bids they are allowed to accept.

Businesses post their offers at a discounted price. If you like the offer and want to purchase it immediately, you can by clicking Buy!t.
